Today, Bungie has announced that there WILL be more Halo 2 maps that they will make downloadable from Xbox Live! We have no information as of what the maps will be like, How big they are or How many there will be, but Bungie promises us new maps! They will be released around May 2007 and you must Have a 360 in order to download them. This was released today because of the 5th anniversary of Halo.

 

Good News for Halo Fans! New Halo 2 Maps will be released next Year around May. No info was given as to what the maps will be like or how many there will be, but hopefully they will be good ones. You will have to have an Xbox 360 with a hard drive in order to get them though. I'll keep the site updated and post new info as soon as I hear it.

 

 

Heavy Vehicles (Slayer) - Break out the big guns, Vehicles are the name of the game! Dive into a Warthog, Guass Warthog, Banshee or Wraith and join the on-field frenzy. No Rockets? Use a combination of the Carbine, SMG or Brute Shot in your inventory to combat the vehicles (or each other) while on foot!

Executive (Oddball) - Must... protect... the Executive. In this game, Maximum scoring makes for the best strategy to have a designated ball-carrier, cleverly named the Executive. Protect your Executive (even if he doesn't have the ball) if you want to rise to victory. If you are the Executive, you might as well paint a target on your chest, so don't plan on running around unguarded!

Covenant Slayer (Slayer) - It's the return of the Covenant! Break out your Plasma Rifle and Plasma Grenades and go to war with these all-covenant settings. Watch out for the Spectres, too... I hear they are the cause of some nasty cases of road rash.

Warthog CTF (Capture the Flag) - Saddle up in the Warthog and prepare for the oncoming charge! Two minutes per round assures that you have to get in the vehicle and get to the opponents' flag immediately! Sudden Death can, and will lead to some exciting moments... and finally, 2Flag CTF on Assymetrical maps!!

Halo: CE (Slayer) - Finally, the feel of Classic Halo is captured. Saddle up your Assault Rifle... err.. SMG, and go to war with settings that closely mimic the feel of Classic Halo. Beware of the power-grenades!

Crappy Rifle (Slayer) - Hail the Crappy Rifle in all it's glory!! Find a partner, use the Sentinel Beam and Battle Rifle side by side, and you've got a deadly duo of destruction. And yes, the Sentinel Beam is an effective weapon when taking out a player's shields. Don't knock it until you try it!

Storm (Slayer) - Welcome to the Storm. Try not to get mowed down by the hiss of the Sentinel Beam, the onslaught of Needles tracking your every move, and Plasma Turrets breathing down your neck! Welcome to the Storm, ya greenie!

DriverSeat CTF (Capture the Flag) - Do you ever get tired of waiting around at the enemy base for somebody to pick you up in a vehicle? Ditch your teammates in this game and drive the flag back, yourself! Beware of those hovering Banshees... they can make for a quick escape and a quick flag capture at your expense!

Brute Assault (Assault) - Brute Shots, Explosions, Spectres, and Bigger Explosions!!! In this game, fend off the waves of oncoming enemy Brute Shot fire, carefully strategize your entry with the bomb (or just blow everyone up and plow through), and get that dang bomb armed!! Brute Assault conforms to assymetrical maps, too!

Pistol 1Flag (Capture the Flag) - Whip out the pistols and track your enemies carefully! Beware of wasted ammo, wasted teammates, and wasted opportunities. However, if you're down 2-0, there's still hope! The 6 rounds ought to cure those late-game surges of depression.
